Platform tennis courts are available for general use by members. Unreserved courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserving a court in advance is recommended, especially for peak play times. Courts can be reserved for single-use time slots, or on a seasonal basis (available for registration pre-season, for a fee). In addition, court times are occasionally dedicated to ladies' team practices, ladies' and men's interclub matches, or regional tournament play, and during those times are NOT available for general play.
The regional governing organization (MAPTA) can occasionally be found at www.maptapaddle.com, when it's up. Interclub rules, schedules and guidelines can be found at www.mapta.tenniscores.com. The national governing organization (APTA) can be found at www.platformtennis.org and is a great resource for rules, tournament schedules, rankings and the like.
All members playing interclub must also join MAPTA by completing the application found in the Forms page and paying a membership fee of $45. Membership also gets you into APTA, the national governing organization, and a subscription to Platform Tennis Magazine.
Keys to the paddle tennis hut may be obtained by sending a check for $3 to Ann Hyser.
Scott has paddles, balls, shoes and other paddle gear available for sale at excellent prices to members. Demo paddles are also available for members. Visit the Staff page to contact Scott, our Racquet Pro, for more information.
